Going back to our example where you need to match 25 red tiles you need to complete them in 20 moves or less. Basically Water is strong against Fire, Fire is strong against Wood and Wood is strong against Water. Knowing the elemental properties is the key to make your dinosaurs and defenses stronger in times of raiding.

Take note of your tachometer.

In the new CSR, you will no longer see the green light that appears each time you launch or when it’s time to change gears.  This is one of the differences between the CSR Racing 2 and its predecessor.  In place of this, you should watch out the green area on your tachometer—this is where the needle should point after the initial rev of the engine, just before take-off.

Always aim for a perfect launch by making sure that the needle falls in that area each time you go.  Do the same thing when you want to shift gears, wait for the needle to point on that prime area for best results.

Not all cars are created equal though, you may need to rev some a lot more than others and then time the needle more carefully to launch successfully.  However, the best thing to do to get the hang of it is practice each time you get or purchase a new car.

Know how to upgrade your car smartly.

Speed up or improve the car’s handling in various tracks by upgrading some of its features or parts. Each components can be upgraded five times using gold or game currency. A sixth stage of upgrade may be had, but only if you win the item in one of the regular races or competitions.

Install parts immediately, if upgrade falls from Stage 1 to 3. Imported parts used for Stages 4 and 5 upgrades on the other hand cannot be readily installed because you need to get them shipped first.  Waiting is free, unless you want to speed up the process in exchange for gold.

Other types of boosts.

Aside from upgrades, Fusion items may be fitted in your car to improve performance. You can do this when parts are already multi-level or max-upgraded.  They can make a small change on the car’s performance, but a positive difference nonetheless.  Also, take note that they can be used on cars of the same make.

Other things that you can also boost to level up to your performance are: to upgrade your tires for better grip at Level 2, fix transmission, final drive upgrade at level 4, and nitrous for speed boosts.  You can also tune in your car/s by tapping the plug icon after upgrading your components to Stage 2.  Do this for better car control, grip, and handle.

Always refer to your car stats and test after each boost.

Tuning your car is a double-edged sword. It can result to a favourable or an unfavourable outcome.  Always test your car after each upgrade, tuning, or fusion installation.

Participate in ALL types of races.

There are many different types of races in the game—crew battles, regulation circuits, live races, etc. Races also come in various distances. Modify the tuning panel before running races because you need to change some of the car’s features to your advantage. For example, you might like to speed up the car a bit for long-distance races, since you have more time to build your speed and track stretch to drive on. Initial acceleration can then be toned down a little.

Tuning your car won’t guarantee that you’ll win the races, but not doing so will almost certainly result to your loss.

Social aspect of CSR Racing 2.

Another difference between the old CSR and this new one is that you can join a crew or a group to win together and earn bonuses in the process. You don’t have to compete in races on your own, it’s always better to have someone to watch your back! Invite your friends for a better gaming experience. The missions are pretty simple, like fulfil a number of competitions in a season, or earn this much amount of money, you get the picture.

Not too social? That’s okay, you can still join and use the “only here for the freebies” excuse when asked why you joined the crew.

Multiplayer, crew vs. crew, and overall game experience.

Another new feature is the player versus player/s game option. There’s something enjoyable about knowing you’re not only playing with a computer bot.
