Don’t skip the tutorial!
Before playing, Kakashi will explain the basic mechanics of the game. The interface can be a bit overwhelming, so pay attention to the instructions. However, practice with the easier emergency missions and solo battles first to get a hang of the game and you will learn how to add friends to the team, boost items, and awaken characters in no time!
Your position is important!
Your position in the battlefield is important because you can create combo attacks if you place your character within the kill area of an ally. Also, if you are close enough and your enemies are positioned in a straight line, you can actually defeat them in one move for bigger bonus points! Position yourself and your friend helpers near an enemy, but remember that this also could back fire against you, so be cautious about this as well.
In case coloured HP bottles appear, you don’t have to stop where the bottles are, you can set a character near an opponent for an attack, passing through a bottle to gain HP or some special boost.
Let your opponents come to you!
If you feel that your enemies might overwhelm you if you get too close, break them into groups by waiting for them to get close to you. You can position your friends in such a way that you’ll set a combo trap for an enemy for a sure kill!
Affinities!
Each character has a specific affinity. You’ll see your hero’s by the small icon on the circular chakra indicator at the bottom of the screen. On the other hand, you’ll know which element defeats what on by referring to the schema on the upper left corner of the screen during battle. You can switch your allies to fight off an enemy using the right guy by swiping their images on the indicator at the bottom.
Pick awesome friends and add them to your team!
You can bring along a helper friend each time you head for battle. Choose the ones that are a tad higher level than you are to really overwhelm your opponents in case you take on story quests. You can also summon really awesome heroes in exchange for Ninja Pearls. However, as much as possible, try to save these ones for the really tough bosses that you’ll face later on in the game. If you are just starting out, random online friends via the multiplayer will suffice and may get you through tougher levels of the game!
